Leeds’s winless streak continues as Brentford held Leeds United To a disheartening draw.
At Elland Road, Jesse Marsch’s squad got the better of the opportunities and compelled Brentford goalkeeper David Raya to make some fine saves.
After scoring twice in Wednesday’s FA Cup triumph against Cardiff, teenage striker Wilfried Gnonto had the finest chance, but Raya made a save.
Brentford failed to record a single shot on goal, but with their disciplined defense, they were able to keep Leeds out and maintain their perfect record.
Ivan Toney, the Bees’ forward, looked lonely up front and eventually lost his cool in a possession battle with Robin Koch, earning a yellow card in the process.

With the draw, Leeds climbs to 15th place, one point above the relegation zone, while Brentford climbs to eighth.

Despite a combined 14 goals scored in their previous three Premier League matches, neither team was able to capitalize on many quality chances in this matchup.
Marsch and his Leeds side are under pressure, and the stalemate means the hosts have just won once at Elland Road since August.
Leeds had more of the ball and put five shots on goal, so this performance was encouraging. Raya, who has been in fine form recently, made six saves to prevent any damage to Thomas Frank’s team and preserve a 0-0 draw.

Brentford held firm in defense and proved difficult to penetrate, earning a valuable point on the road that keeps them in the quest for a European spot. And thus, Leeds’s winless streak continues.
